Mission Statement:

Provide breastfeeding education, information and resources for health care professionals, mothers and families.

Activity Highlight:

We received a resolution during World Breastfeeding Week from the Solano County Board of Supervisors to proclaim August as Breastfeeding Awareness month. At the presentation we had Health and Human Services Leadership, Teri Ewell IBCLC, First 5, WIC mom, peer counselors and NorthBay Hospital present and were able to mention the importance of supporting women and lactation in the workplace, community health benefits of breastfeeding, along with how becoming Baby Friendly has improved breastfeeding rates.
