A Womanist View: Community-Rooted Birth Care
This community-centered event promotes holistic and inclusive Black maternal care by combining education, accessible resources, spirituality, ancestral wisdom, and collective healing. Together, we aim to challenge racism in healthcare, reduce Black maternal mortality, and empower birthing people through community care and spiritual activism.
The event will feature a 1-hour panel, journaling and affirmation exercises, local organizations, doulas, midwives, nurses, herbalists, and birthworkers who will educate and share resources, provide supply kits, and educational materials.
