The purpose of the CBC quarterly coalition meeting is to strengthen communication and connections among local county and cultural coalitions in our shared mission to protect, promote, and support chest/breastfeeding across the state. The goal is to build collective capacity to address community needs, share resources, network, uplift, and highlight successes.

National Breastfeeding Month is just around the corner! August is always busy for lactation advocates. In addition to National Breastfeeding Month, we also observe World Breastfeeding Week, Indigenous Milk Medicine Week, Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Breastfeeding Week, and Black Breastfeeding Week.

To help all of us prepare for the month, we're making National Breastfeeding Month the focus of the Quarterly Coalitions Meeting.

Please join us and other county and cultural coalition members to learn, share and connect with other lactation advocates across the state of California! We'll kick off the meeting with breakouts to share plans and events for the month, and then have a presentation from two guest speakers on human milk banking, before sharing relevant updates.

You can register for the June meeting here.
