The B.L.A.C.K. Course will be teaching their Certified Blactavist Peer Counselor Training which is a 24 hours training. These hours can be used towards the IBLCE 95 hours requirements.

The PC training will provide students with basic breastfeeding education to support families in their communities, prepare them to provide breastfeeding support in a volunteer capacity, or support expecting and breastfeeding families while working in a WIC setting. This training is a great way to refresh basic counseling skills. Students will learn the basics about:

• Anatomy
• Breastfeeding Challenges
• Discussing Breastfeeding Prenatally
• Latch & Position
• Counseling & Communication
• Medications & Human Milk
• Support Groups in Diverse Communities
