The DC Breastfeeding Coalition announces the Inaugural Deaf and Hard of Hearing Breastfeeding Week! As an allied partner with the Deaf community, the Coalition fostered the initiation of the first ever Deaf and Hard of Hearing Breastfeeding Collective. The purpose of this initiative is to provide the nation’s marginalized and underrepresented Deaf community with accessible breastfeeding education, support, and community, because language and breastfeeding access matters from birth!
