Alimentacion Segura Infantil (ASI), as part of the CDC-NACCHO Bridging Continuity of Care in Breastfeeding Support and Nutrition Security project, is hosting a 8-part webinar series on infant and toddler nutrition security. The kick-off webinar will be on February 7, 2024, at 11am ET.  

 

During the first session of the series, speakers will provide an overview of the definition of the first 1,000 days as a critical nutrition period continum and will also stress the importance of nutrition for a child’s healthy life span, which includes preparing for lactation while pregnant, human milk feeding until two years and the consumption of unprocessed complementary foods at six months of age. This live webinar will be accessible in both English and Spanish.
