Objectives:

  1. Identify at least 2 advantages individuals experience by having the support of a doula during the childbirth process.
  2. Name at least 2 common obstacles often recognized when it comes to accessing doula services.
  3. Identify at least one way doulas can collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for individuals during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
  4. Explain how doulas contribute to and assist with their clients’ breastfeeding practices and lactation goals.
