The National WIC Association is pleased to announce its first Clinical Skills Workshop!

The purpose of the workshop is to increase the technical knowledge and skill of WIC staff by addressing how breastfeeding staff in WIC can support and identify normal breastfeeding behaviors and provide evidence-based care for common breastfeeding challenges. The workshop is intended for Individuals who hold lactation credentials such as CLC, CLS, or IBCLC or who aspire to obtain these licensures. Please note the Workshop is only offered in-person.

After this training, the attendees will return to their organization with increased confidence in their ability to provide lactation support and care in the WIC setting. Additionally, attendees will also become a breastfeeding resource professional in their State or Local WIC Agency for other WIC staff. Attendees will receive nursing and IBCLC continuing education credits.
