In this session, we’ll hear from Dr. Cara James, President and CEO of Grantmakers in Health, a nonprofit, educational organization dedicated to helping foundations and corporate giving programs improve the health of all people. By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Recognize the difference between operationalizing diversity, equity, and inclusion and advancing health equity.
2. Describe how Grantmakers in Health supports its funding partners regarding health equity, social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
3. Identify at least one characteristic a funder looks for in potential grantees.
