Summit Covid-19 Safety Protocols

(Updated 1-3-22)

The 2022 Summit (Jan. 24-26) is a hybrid event with options for in-person and virtual registration.

If you plan to join us in person at the Holiday Inn San Jose-Silicon Valley, we have the following COVID restrictions in place:

Before entering the summit areas, all attendees ages 2 and over are required to show proof of a negative result from a COVID test. We’re following guidance from the Santa Clara County health department, so all attendees need to be tested within 24 hours of arriving at the event for rapid tests or 48 hours in advance for PCR tests.

Negative test result documentation must be in writing and from a medical professional or laboratory. A photo of your negative result documentation will also be accepted with a photo ID.

Negative results from a rapid antigen home test that are accessed through an FDA approved self test that displays results through a mobile app will also be accepted, as long as the test is taken within 24 hours of your summit attendance, and the name on the results documentation matches the name on your photo ID. Following are two acceptable home tests that can be used with apps that meet the documentation requirement for matching a name with a photo ID:

Home test results that do not utilize a mobile app feature will not be accepted. We are currently searching for other FDA approved home tests with mobile apps.

A driver’s license or other photo ID will also be required for entry for all adults. A photo ID will not be required for minors who are accompanied by an adult. Minors age 2 and older will need to present proof of a negative test result, as previously outlined.

Santa Clara County’s Universal Indoor Face Covering Order (Aug. 2, 2021) requires everyone, regardless of vaccination status, to wear face coverings indoors to the greatest extent possible.  However, face coverings can be removed to engage in activities that inherently cannot be done with them on, such as eating and drinking. Social distancing as always should be followed to safeguard the wellbeing of our community.

Prolonged periods of mask removal are not permitted for eating or drinking—masks must be worn between bites and sips. Acceptable masks are surgical, cloth, or (K) N95. Gaiters, bandanas, face shields or masks with an exhalation valve will not be acceptable.

Please arrive 45 minutes prior to the conference start time each day to allow staff to check proof of vaccination or negative test result. We are not requiring attendees to test multiple times during the conference but encourage everyone to test again about 72 hours after returning home from the conference.
