Do you have a camera-friendly baby (newborn to 12 months)?

The Infant-Feeding Photo Project is a collaborative project led by the California WIC Association, California Breastfeeding Coalition, and California Department of Public Health.

The purpose of the photo project is to showcase recommended infant-feeding practices in action. Our goal is to create a library of images representing a spectrum of babies, at each month, during the first year of life. The photos may be used in print and digital projects (e.g. pamphlets, newsletters, magazines, educational presentations, websites, social media platforms, etc.).

To qualify for the project, applicants must be able to provide images in at least one of the following categories:

  • Baby feeding self,
  • Breastfeeding/chestfeeding,
  • Parent pumping, or
  • Breastfeeding/chestfeeding at work.

*Photos will not be sold or licensed.

Up to 25 applicants will be selected for the project based on the following criteria:

  • Parent/guardian signs photo release*
  • Commitment to a 30-minute photography training (online or phone)
  • Ability to take the photos with your own device and submit them online
  • Ability to submit at least 20 clear images, according to submission guidelines
  • Submission of a sample photo for demonstration purposes

*If selected, the parent/guardian will be asked to sign a photo release.

The deadline to apply is April 15, 2021. Please email for more information.
