Are you passionate about nurturing a healthier future for families in California? The California Breastfeeding Coalition (CBC) is looking for dedicated individuals like you to join our Board of Directors and help us create a lasting impact.
Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of Californians by working collaboratively to protect, promote, and support human milk feeding. We envision a future where all families have access to quality, timely lactation education and support. To achieve this, our board members focus on organizational sustainability, lactation-supportive advocacy, equity, strategic planning, capacity building, and collaborations with mission-aligned stakeholders.
As a CBC board member, you will play a critical role in shaping our strategic direction and advocating for policies that support all families, while working to reduce disparities and achieve health equity. Your commitment and expertise will be invaluable in driving our efforts forward.
“It’s a special time to be part of the California Breastfeeding Coalition,” said Interim Executive Director Gaby Cavins. “Board members have both the power and obligation to shape the strategic and operational direction of our nonprofit for the next two to six years.”
Each board member is appointed to a two-year term and limited to serving three consecutive terms (six years). To find out more, read the complete role description here. To express your interest in the CBC board, complete this application.
The deadline to apply is May 21 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific.
