Did you know that this year, Forbes discovered social media overtook Google in online advertising?

Trina Dixon Goodwin of the Lactating Mama Community.
As lactation care providers and advocates, we can’t afford to ignore social media as a vehicle for distributing accurate information on breast, chest and human milk feeding. But where do you begin? And how do you know where to invest your time or how long it’ll take for you to see results?
Luckily, if you’re registered for the 2024 Virtual California Breastfeeding Summit, you will get these questions answered!
This year’s summit will include a panel featuring influencers who have built lactation brands and businesses on social media.
Trina Dixon Goodwin of the Lactating Mama Community has more than 49,000 Instagram followers and 4,400 Facebook followers. Vanessa Simmons of Normalize Breastfeeding has more than 29,000 followers on Instagram and 195,000 followers on Facebook.
They are appearing at the Summit to share why it’s important to have a social media presence in the lactation field and how to build your brand on social media. Both organic and paid social media strategies will be discussed. You’ll learn how to navigate algorithms and terms and conditions, so your content isn’t wrongly flagged as inappropriate. And, maybe even more importantly, you’ll get tips on how to manage your own mental health even if your content attracts haters and trolls (it happens to the best of us).
